Charlie Henke, P.E., S.E.
Senior Structural Engineer
Charlie came to FMC from Tri-State Equipment, where he designed overhead bridge crane systems, gantry cranes, jib crane supports, monorails, ergonomic equipment supports, fall protection supports, and specialty equipment.
He is a 1999 graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis. After graduating, Charlie worked for Payne-Huber Engineering designing and rehabbing petrol-chemical and industrial structures. During his time there, he developed an analysis method for hot-tapping into an existing system, analyzed equipment for allowable nozzle capacities, redesigned piping layouts to reduce stress and analyzed and designed structural supports to resist anchor loads.
From there, Charlie spent the next 12 years working as a Lead Structural Engineer for ABS Consulting and Alper Audi, Inc. designing single and multi-story buildings using conventional wood construction, cold-formed steel, structural steel, stainless steel, masonry and concrete.
Charlie’s experience also includes several pipe stress, window blast and progressive collapse analyses.
Since joining FMC, Charlie has jumped right in and assisted in multiple structural design and review projects.
